The Intersection of IP, Tech, and Entertainment

RSVP is required for entry; however, capacity is limited and RSVP does not guarantee entry.
Designed for creators, inventors, and makers, as well as their business & legal counsel, this free event offers attendees a chance to hear directly from Miriam Lord from the US Copyright Office and Wendy Larson, Trademark Attorney at Pirkey Barber as they provide insights into the intersection of intellectual property law, technology, and entertainment. The fireside chat will cover key topics such as how copyright laws apply to digital content, AI-generated works, and online distribution, as well as best practices for protecting brand identities in the entertainment industry. Speakers will also examine how emerging technologies like AI are shaping IP protection and address real-world legal challenges and strategies for safeguarding creative assets.

Join us on Monday, March 10 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM for networking before and after the Fireside Chat (moderated by Attorney Alyce Zawacki), hosted with food, drink, and a DJ. Hilgers House is a short ride from the Convention Center (1.7 miles).
