The Copyright Claims Board (or CCB) is an alternative forum to federal court to resolve copyright disputes up to $30,000 total (called “small claims”). The CCB is being created under the CASE Act as a means of assisting independent creators in protecting their works. With the CCB due to launch during the summer of 2022, the panel is designed to provide additional information and to answer attendee questions, including:
- What is the reason the Copyright Claims Board (CCB) was created?
- Where is the CCB located?
- How does the CCB work and who staffs it?
- Why use the CCB versus going to federal court?
- What costs are involved?
Our expert panelists, including one of the three CCB Officers and other representatives of the CCB from the U.S. Copyright Office, will answer these questions and many more during the event.
