Creativity Meets Copyright: Owning Your Art

  • Emo's Austin 2015 East Riverside Drive Austin, TX, 78741 United States (map)

In celebration of World Intellectual Property Day 2019

Join TALA and Austin Music Foundation as we present in partnership with the Copyright Alliance.

It’s important that artists know what they own and how federal copyright protections can add value to creativity.

Learn what rights you possess as a copyright owner and how to protect those rights.

Two presentations will be offered simultaneously.

One presentation will focus on copyrights specifically for musicians and one will focus on all other artistic disciplines (multidisciplinary).

Following the presentations, participants will have a chance to ask individual questions during a roundtable mixer with the experts.

Did you know there are two copyrights associated with a song?

Learn more at our music presentation with attorneys:

Andrea Villarreal, Of Counsel, Oaks, Hartline & Daly, LLP

Take a photo or paint a picture? Did you know that there are multiple revenue streams to be made from one piece of artwork?
